Community Baby Shower Drive

This year's United Way Day of Action project kicked off June 21st and continues for a month! We are collecting NEW baby items to distribute to Pregnancy Services of Delta County and Welcome Newborns, two of our partner agencies that work with families with newborns.

Our Community Baby Shower drive will run through late July. New items can be dropped in our collection boxes at BayBank (Escanaba and Gladstone), Delta County Credit Union (Escanaba and Wells), Elmer's County Market, Positively, Shopko, Super One Foods and Wells Fargo (downtown and branch).

Needed items include:  Diapers (all sizes, but especially newborns and 5-6), baby wipes, pacifiers, rattles, teething rings, board books, baby lotion, baby shampoo, receiving blankets, bibs, burp cloths, baby formula and baby toys. There is also a need for re-sealable (zip close) plastic bags and plastic totes with lids.

If you'd like to do a workplace collection drive with your employees, just let us know and we'll be happy to pick up your donated items (and to promote it on Facebook, so the community can see how you're helping). Contact the United Way office at (906) 786-3736 or uwdelta@uwdelta.org.
